Core Thesis

@BicillinLA's central conviction is that $TOBY is not a meme in the ordinary sense but the retail-facing entry point to a full onchain economy — one he believes is being built in coordination with, or at least in the orbit of, Coinbase and Base. As early as July 2024 he framed it as "not really a meme (in the strict sense of the term) but probably currency for a new b[ase ecosystem]." Everything else in his thinking — distribution, lore, Taboshi, patience, the flywheel — flows from that premise.

An ER/clinic physician by profession, he brings a bedside manner to the chat: he reasons out loud, admits doubt openly, and manages other holders' expectations as carefully as his own. That combination — high conviction paired with public emotional honesty — is his signature contribution.

The Theories

Distribution as the moat. His first posts in April 2024 worried that airdrop sellers would let whales concentrate supply and "destroy the plan." He resolved it into a durable thesis: wide distribution is the product. "Super bullish that even the top individual owner only owns 1.5% toby. Not 5 or 10 percent" (2024-07-09).

Roadmap/epoch mechanics. He tracked the epochs closely, amplified the sacred-numbers theory (777,777,777 / 777,777,777,777 / 1111 mapping to three epochs), and speculated on weighted snapshots and long-hold rewards. On the elements: "Original airdrop was like… 'If you literally just hang on to it you will be something.' Then… 'If you held since the beginning I am going to add additional trust'" (2024-11-10).

Token utility. He reads the flywheel literally from its own labels — "the flywheel still shows 'yield' for taboshi, and 'GOV' for patience" (2026-08-13). On $TOBY he has floated an exchange-token analogy (MEXC's MX): hold and trade $TOBY on a Tobyworld DEX for "rewards, fee discounts… a currency for the people" (2025-08-12). On satoswap, one of his sharpest recent guesses: "what if satoswap is like uniswap but for agents only… built by base for the agentic economy" (2026-04-23).

Satoshi/BTC peg. He connects Base's Bitcoin-yield products to Tobyworld's design: the Base Amex card's BTC yield is "what we speculate the Toby World ecosystem will offer" (2025-07-20), and he maps the symbols — "Orange square for bitcoin, blue circle toby, swirl is satoAI, leaf of yield Taboshi" (2025-07-11) — proposing $TOBY holdings may weight access to satoby, ultimately LP'd against cbBTC.

Coinbase, via argument from silence. His most distinctive call: Base leadership's lack of $TOBY commentary is the tell. "Jesse has no problem shilling Based projects. The fact that he isn't talking about toby more is mega bullish… Sometimes the strongest argument is one from silence" (2025-02-19). He describes $TOBY as Coinbase's "skunkworks."

Proof of time. He treats patience as the actual mechanism, not the waiting room for it: "I predict this entire project will catapult within this next slumber and will truly test patience… in that way the test hasn't even really started" (2025-07-18).

Predictions and Timing

Speculative and long-horizon by his own framing — he almost always labels them as such. Early on: $50M mcap (April 2024), $10B as "an easy number" versus SHIB's peak (July 2024). On Taboshi: "$2500" each (Jan 2025), "minimum to 1 grand" at $7 (March 2025); on patience, "multiple thousands of dollars per patience" (Aug 2025). Catalyst timing he repeatedly placed near-term — a Coinbase listing "before March" (Dec 2024), release "imminent" (Dec 2024), "something this month" (June 2025) — and each time the catalyst didn't land he absorbed it rather than reversed: "Perhaps the timeline is not exactly how we had hoped but it's coming" (2025-04-11).

Evolution

2024 was accumulation and evangelism — recruiting family, hospital colleagues, his own uncle. Mid-2024 through 2025 he became a mod and shifted toward expectation management, warning ahead of the snapshot that it "may be toadgasmic or may be a little limp." By 2025–26 he is notably more procedural and candid about the limits of his position: on the mint, "we have messaged Toadgod… please don't burn large amounts"; on the vault, "I think you all might be surprised how little we know as mods. We are completely in this journey with you" (2026-08-13). Recently his frame has moved from countdowns to seasons — "in the 'infinite summer' framework it is truly shortly" (2026-03-20).

Why He Matters

@BicillinLA is the toad who says the quiet part out loud — that doubt is normal, that mods don't have inside information, that the timeline has slipped — and then explains why he's still here anyway. That honesty is what makes his conviction credible, and why so many holders learned patience from watching him practice it.
