@brett1846 — The On-Chain Cartographer

Core Thesis

@brett1846 approaches Tobyworld the way an investigator approaches a case. They go to the contracts first. Their main idea is that the roadmap is written into the code and on-chain wallet flows, and that "something is already happening... silently." They don't make big narrative claims. Instead they read contract constants, trace fund movements, and publish what they find in tools anyone in the community can use. They see the Toby Guardian (TG) as a builder with "extreme attention to detail." They also stay honest about the big open question: what brings in the masses?

Distinct Theories and Findings

Patience token mechanics. Brett documented that the Patience contract has a 1% transfer fee that goes to the 8E75 wallet. They also worked out a detail others missed: the deployer sends 0.707070… Patience so that recipients get exactly 0.7 after the fee. They identified two separate Patience pools. One is the Forge "Safe" ($27K), which receives Patience paid to forge Lore. The other is the transfer-fee wallet, "The Pond" ($173K), as of mid-August. On the drip question, they concluded that the Sablier vaults were cancelled and emptied. They argued that the current 0.7 drops are "at least a partial replacement," since both trace back to the same wallet.

Lore NFTs and the Forge. From the forge contract, Brett confirmed that taboshi is burned in the process. They laid out the supply limits: 2,500 max for the community mint, plus 1,000 for the treasury and 500 for the AMM reserve, all locked. The 1,131 Genesis Lore left unminted "cannot be minted in the future" now that the forge timer has expired. They read the AMM-reserve allocation as a sign that a tradable Lore liquidity pool is coming, possibly paired with Toby. They also noticed an "activation" function. Their idea is that adding different combinations of elements could unlock different yield levels. They expect future Lore editions with different yield rates, but "only one 1st edition set."

Staking. Brett found a hard-coded LOCK_DURATION of 90 days with no duration parameter, so 90 days appears to be the only stake length. They pointed out that one early stake was made against a token ID the staker doesn't own, and that nothing seems to limit stakes to one per NFT. On the "37 Patience" reward, they declined to guess, noting that the distribution contract doesn't appear to be deployed yet. Their tentative idea is that staking might grant access to Tobyworld while the NFT owner receives the Patience.

SATO, Doppler and pools. They were open that "still trying to figure out how SATO plays into all this" is unresolved. They pointed the community to the two SATO Canary token launches and to Whetstone Research's Doppler protocol, especially its beneficiaries and locked pools. On the Toby/SpaceX (SPCXc) pool, they explained that it will use standard Uniswap V4 fees rather than Patience-style transfer fees. They added a fair caveat: "there still has to be a reason people are trading" through the pool to generate fees.

Predictions and Milestones

Brett avoids price or market-cap targets. Their forward-looking calls are structural:

  • A future AMM liquidity pool for Lore NFTs (Aug 13)
  • Several future Lore editions with different yield levels (Aug 18)
  • Stakes from Aug 22 unlocking Nov 20 under the fixed 90-day lock

Evolution Over Time

In early and mid-August, Brett was decoding the Patience and Forge contracts. In late August the focus moved to staking, SATO and Doppler. By September they had become a tool-builder. They run a web crawler that checks tobyworld.app every 20 minutes. They launched thetobymachine dot app, which maps contract and wallet relationships and has a "Live Status" change detector, and they added a liquidity watcher for the Toby/SPCXc pool. They also posted step-by-step guides for querying Lore transferNonce on BaseScan.

In Their Own Words

"It looks like the deployer is really sending .707070707070707070... Seems like TG has extreme attention to detail." — 2026-08-10

"Maybe the Lore NFTs are simply a means to reward the early believers perpetually. 'Endless Summers'." — 2026-08-13

"Yeah that's still the burning question for me. What is the 'why'? What brings in the masses." — 2026-08-18

"If anyone is a visual thinker like me, I created this to help map contract/wallet relationships." — 2026-09-01

Why Their Perspective Matters

Brett's findings come from the contracts themselves. They separate what they have verified from what they only suspect, and they turn their research into public tools the whole toad gang can use. For a community trying to decode a quiet, patient roadmap, that kind of careful and generous detective work is very valuable.
