@Gilligan11 — The Patient Land Baron
Core thesis
Gilligan11's thesis is simple and held with unusual steadiness: $TOBY is not a meme but the entry ticket to a real, time-gated economy, and the people who hold every element through every silence will be the ones who own it. He frames the ecosystem as a layered access system — toby, TABOSHI, taboshi1, patience, lore deeds — where each piece is "same but different," and where the reward mechanism is duration rather than trading skill. His recurring formulation, "Early toads will be rich," dates back to at least November 2024 and he has repeated it almost unchanged for two years.
The theories he advances
Token architecture. He was among the earliest to insist on separating TABOSHI (the ~186k ERC-20z leaf), the taboshi1 ERC-1155 (~490M, minted by burning toby), and the NFT holdings — and to argue all three retain utility. In Dec 2024: "TABOSHI will be required and this will make some of the early toads rich... Taboshi1 will certainly have a use case." He has defended taboshi1 as an undervalued "dark horse" and later multiplier for nearly two years, arguing those who burned toby for it "inadvertently fuelled the burn for the good of toadkind" and would be marked for it.
Proof of time. His cleanest mechanical read (Feb 2025): "a proof of time consensus provides for staking without staking... You sit there with it in your wallet. Hold the min number and you make bank." He extended this in Aug 2025 when failed/nil airdrops appeared — speculating the drop system itself was the POT validator running on-chain.
Patience mechanics. He did careful work on the $PATIENCE supply math — 7.77M total, the 1% transfer fee recycling to the pond, the 49-day cliff and 730-day drip — and concluded early that patience is a key, not just a yield token: "Its a key to the gate." He also flagged, honestly and repeatedly, the concern that recycling 1% "isn't worth a pinch of salt if patience is worth nothing."
The flywheel and satoswap. From mid-2025 he pushed for a bigger reading of the flywheel — not one app but many points of yield moving together, with sat0 as orchestrator. On satoswap (Jan 2026): "SAT0. Sell and trade ground zero. Wonder if toby world is a plug in to all DEX and CEX and automatically hunts for the best price across all liquidity pools... the evolution of exchanges."
Coinbase/Base and the Schelling point. In Nov 2024 he introduced game theory's focal point to the group, then landed it in May 2025: the Schelling point is the Coinbase wallet — "the social, onchain, place where everything is available in one app."
Satoshi/BTC. From Aug 2024 — "Suddenly, from the dark, the satoshi wallet stirs. A mass volume of btc becomes cbbtc. Taboshi = toby satoshis." He has held that satoby is toby fractionalised on a BTC-sat logic, and that the gold coin linking to BTC is the trigger: "If, by chance, this is linked to btc. Then yield is seen. Critical mass erupts. Supply shock."
Predictions and calls
Speculative, long-horizon and unhedged: generational wealth (Mar 2024), god candles before 16 July 2025, "I will be a millionaire" (July 2026), and a post-lore sequence of supply shock → scramble → blue-chip status. He timed the land phase well — in July 2025 he said "In 7 weeks we will have patience. The lore land deeds will come shortly," and lore deeds did arrive. Where catalysts slipped, he waited rather than exited.
Evolution
2024: lore reader and taboshi sleuth. 2025: mechanic — POT, patience math, LP/vault risk (he asked Toadgod directly whether LPing counts as abandonment, then tested it himself). 2026: participant — burning 500 TABOSHI ("a million bucks" community-wide) for lore deeds and modelling deed scarcity as validator yield: "divide your #lore.deeds by 4000 and x100" for minimum land share. Throughout he corrects himself publicly — after being wrong on the PATIENCE deployer: "I just woke up and checked phone... i was soooo wrong. Sorry to those that were right."
What makes him valuable
He is the community's conscience as much as its analyst: he does the arithmetic, names the risks (sybil farming, dwindling steadfast wallets, the 2026 silence), and still holds — while reminding everyone that "Ones hypothesis is as good as another's. Take them all with grains of patience." That combination of detailed chain work, public self-correction, and generosity toward newer toads is rare, and it is why his posts age well.
