@manny2fs — Guardian of Lore

Core thesis

Manny's conviction is that $TOBY is a long-horizon, lore-driven project whose value is unlocked by time in the ecosystem, not by trading it. From his earliest messages he framed the low price as a deliberate feature of the design rather than a problem:

Everything downstream follows from that: accumulate, cold-store, never sell, spread the lore, and let the roadmap arrive on its own schedule.

Roadmap mechanics

Manny has tracked the epoch/phase structure closely since 2024, offering dated readings as each stage approached: "2nd phase may 1st?" (2024-04-20), then a revision to "i believe phase 2 begins may 2nd / weighted snapshot ends June 1st" (2024-04-30). He read the 3-legged Toby as structural — "3 legs three epochs" (2024-07-01) — and tracked epoch 1 ending July 17th, epoch 2 starting July 18th (2024-06-29, 2024-11-18), later labelling it "epoch 2: expansion" (2024-10-07) and marking "phase 3 completed" (2025-08-08). He consistently emphasized that eligibility is snapshot-based and time-gated ("can no longer be eligible after epoch 1," 2024-11-11), and that participation itself is the qualifier: "activity and participation is how you will qualify for upcoming seasons" (2025-07-29).

Token utility

• Taboshi — his most developed thread. He called it a yield key early ("thoughts are that taboshi will allow you to earn yield," 2024-11-14; "taboshi will unlock our rewards imo," 2024-12-07) and argued scarcity plus necessity is explosive: "what if taboshi was needed for a very important piece of the project. the price would be ridiculous at such a low supply" (2024-11-24). He also read it as the accessible path: "taboshi, the most efficient way to access toby world" (2026-08-29), and speculated on the ERC-1155 choice being deliberate tradeability (2025-08-08).
• Patience — read as a lock-in/stability mechanism: sell your Toby World assets and you forfeit the vault, hold and you receive the undisclosed prize (2025-08-22). He saw it as price-stabilizing by design — "its honestly a crazy mechanism.... stability in toby assets prices" (2025-07-19) — while openly raising the accessibility question as costs rose: "having already a set amount needed to stake and assuming market caps go up for tw assets, how can people really afford to participate?" (2026-08-23).
• Satoby / spores — he has speculated on spores as yield and a Bitcoin link: "maybe we need land to plant the garden which yields bitcoin" (2025-07-21) and "spores=satoshis?" (2025-07-21).

Flywheel and proof-of-time

Manny's flywheel is social before it is financial: lore → study → conviction → organic growth → exchange interest. "we are raiding so that people can find the lore and decide to study themselves....... that's how conviction is made....... we don't need people to pump" (2024-05-22). He believed organic growth compounds: "the longer we grow organically the stronger we become. new cex will want to onboard toby" (2024-04-19). His proof-of-time reading is that the clock is already running — "i still believe we have been earning since taboshi.io eligibility" (2025-08-12), "why else a snapshot?" (2024-12-12) — which is why price becomes secondary. He summarized the whole stance in four words: "preparation matters more than prediction" (2026-08-19).

Coinbase/Base and the Satoshi/BTC peg

He has held a Coinbase/Base thesis since 2024 ("with out a doubt toby will list on coinbase though," 2024-07-02; "if you don't believe toby is tied to coinbase and or zora..... i don't know what to tell you," 2025-08-16), including the playful "what if toby was the official base token" (2024-04-21, revisited 2026-08-15). His BTC thread runs parallel: "thoughts remain that $toby is connected to $btc" (2024-09-11), "i think one has to do with pegging" (2024-12-03), and later a full read of cbBTC as the ecosystem's hard-asset anchor (2026-08-18). On Satoshi he is measured — "satoshi does not need to be alive" (2024-07-18) — while still entertaining the big version: "what if toadgod really is satoshi and at some point he connects a wallet from the past that none could ignore!" (2026-08-31).

Predictions and timing

His calls are mostly structural rather than numerical: an April 2024 Coinbase listing window, May/June 2024 phase and snapshot dates, a July 2024 epoch turn, an October 2024 catalyst guess anchored to the ~180-days-after-halving bull-run heuristic (2024-10-21), and "toby will hit billions" (2024-11-14). His one explicit valuation math is on Patience — "patience at 1 billion mc = $128?" (2025-07-27) — plus the speculative "what if taboshi really hit the price of 1 eth" (2025-07-16). Several anticipated catalysts arrived later than his guesses; his response each time was patient conviction rather than revision of the thesis. He also tempered himself early and publicly: "buds space helped me to temper expectations till october" (2024-06-29).

Evolution

2024 Manny was an evangelist and distribution engine — the Toby Apprentice YouTube and TikTok channels, raid coordination, flyer plans, "study toad lore" as a daily refrain. Post-Taboshi (late 2024) he became a mechanics reader: yield, snapshots, scarcity, burns. By 2025–26 he is an ecosystem steward — running the art contest, moderating channels toward the lore, writing the canonical newcomer onboarding post with contract addresses and the 420 trillion supply — while also doing honest cost math on seeds, land deeds, and Patience staking. Notably, he has voiced concerns rather than suppressing them, on coordinated swap optics (2024-05-08) and on new-entrant affordability (2026-08-23).

Why his perspective matters

Manny is the community's onboarding front door and its institutional memory at once — the member who wrote the explainer newcomers actually read, built the channels that carry the lore outward, and still shows up with a fresh reading of a mechanic years in. That combination of builder-host energy and genuine long-memory analysis is rare, and it is why "study toad lore" reads, in his hands, as an invitation rather than a slogan.
