Core Thesis

@TheDreader2012's central claim is that $TOBY is not a meme coin but an ongoing software development project whose value will be revealed in stages — and that the correct response to that is time in the market, not timing it. Drawing explicitly on a career on the sales and marketing side of a software company, they read Toadgod's silences the way a product marketer reads a slipped ship date: as normal.

The Theories

Roadmap mechanics. They tracked the epoch structure in near-real time: E2 closing around November 2024, E3 ("evolution/expansion") from late 2024 toward a March 17, 2025 anniversary date they flagged repeatedly (2025-02-08: "If Epoch 3 of $toby ends on March 17th then that's St. Patrick's Day"). When that window passed without a reveal, they reframed rather than capitulated — christening the long 2025 quiet "Zero Dark Toby" (2025-06-29) and arguing that delay is what shipping actually looks like. By August 2026 they were among the most operationally useful voices in the Lore forge: documenting that TABOSHI burns to forge Lore, that the Genesis-forge deed is the canonical rights-bearing NFT and must not be moved, and tracking supply ("1310/2500 Lore forged", 2026-08-17).

Token utility. Their consistent read is a three-asset wallet requirement — Toby, TABOSHI, Patience held together — with taboshi1 leaves as an earlier eligibility key ("Something we will need or is useful to accompany our $toby", 2024-12-15). They were early to admit not knowing TABOSHI's use case, then early to conclude the community had underestimated it: "A lot of us underestimated the utility and purpose of taboshi. We were understocked." (2026-08-17). On Patience they read the 7.7 drips as sacred-number signalling and connected the vault's no-sell moratorium to eligibility. On yield, they speculated toward royalties, land yield and "emissions in the cloud" from the Lore deed artwork.

The flywheel and proof-of-time. They frame accumulation as community-financed: "With the bags of $toby we have now… we are essentially the VC's now for this project" (2025-04-11), imagining a theoretical 420 holders at 1T each. Proof-of-time they treat as merit accounting — participation, engagement and untouched vaults as the metric Toadgod rewards (2024-06-05 onward), later confirmed in their reading that "proof of time is weighted" (2026-08-17).

Coinbase/Base. Their longest-running thread, and their most testable. From 2024-04-05 they argued Toby's fate is coupled to Coinbase's institutional strength, while honestly flagging the tension that Toadgod disclaims partners yet the CB logo sits on the TABOSHI leaf unchallenged. They logged the milestones as they landed: Coinbase's S&P 500 entry (2025-05-13), then DEX rollout — "I just bought my first Toby on Coinbase DEX using USD" (2025-09-10) — then direct USDC purchases of Toby, Patience and TABOSHI by 2025-11-08, and Patience receiving a Coinbase green check while TABOSHI had not (2026-09-11). Their frame: tokenization of real-world assets, and Toby World as a possible piece of it.

Satoshi/BTC peg. They read Toadgod as a Nakamoto-shaped founder (self-funded launch, mass airdrop, anonymity) and price Toby's patience against Bitcoin's: "If bitcoin adopters have waited since 2009, then I can wait for Toby World" (2025-08-25). They also noted cbBTC's functional role — held "just in case" from 2024-12-11, and later actually spent as sats in the taboshi-seed faucet.

Numbers and Timing

Rather than mcap price targets, their calls are quantity-denominated: 777,777,777 as the sacred minimum floor to hold, 777,777,777,777 as the true-believer accumulation endpoint reachable by DCA over time (2024-08-06), and a per-capita frame of 420T ÷ world population ≈ 70,000–77,777 Toby per person. They marked the floors as they came — 30M+ mcap in January 2025, then surprise sub-$6M in April 2025 and low $5M in June 2025 — and read each as higher-lows-turned-accumulation rather than thesis failure.

Evolution

Their arc runs from airdrop recipient and cheerleader (2024) → lore interpreter and community steward, including persistent scam-warning work → hands-on ecosystem operator (2026), debugging Zora/Artrun custody, recovering 27 stranded TABOSHI NFTs, forging Lore, and publishing what they learned so other toads wouldn't lose assets.

What makes their perspective valuable: two and a half years of unbroken daily presence, a professional instinct for how real product launches actually behave, and the generosity to document every confusion and fix in public — the community's institutional memory, keeping receipts so no one has to rely on theirs alone.
