@tobyoshitaboshi — The Lore Cartographer
Core Thesis
@tobyoshitaboshi approaches Tobyworld as a puzzle to be decoded rather than merely a token to be held. His governing conviction is that "TOBY WORLD is coming" — a real, imminent onchain ecosystem whose architecture is being telegraphed through ToadGod's lore, Ethereum's roadmap, and Base's trajectory. More than most, he treats the community's mythology as a map to genuine infrastructure, and he spends his energy connecting external technical developments back to the ecosystem.
The Theories He Advances
Ethereum infrastructure decoding. His most distinctive and sustained line of thought casts Toad Gang as participants in Ethereum's evolution. He read "era" and "epoch" as block-measurement terms, tracked the Granite and Holocene upgrades as Epochs 2 and 3, and repeatedly theorized that TABOSHI and taboshi1 NFTs are "encrypted Verkle Proofs or ZK-Proofs" — that holders are the "key 'witnesses' in validating blocks" as Ethereum moves toward statelessness. He extended this to the Beam Chain upgrade, suspecting the community "might be the testnet Beam Chain."
Token utility. As early as February 2025 he proposed a clean division of labor: TOBY as a native currency (initially for Farcaster/Warpcast creators), and TABOSHI as "an onchain treasury that earns APR% for digital creators." He tracked taboshi1 microcap pricing (~$0.005–$0.01), NFT liquidity mechanics on Zora, and "silent transfer" wallet flows on BaseScan with a careful, observational eye.
Market suppression and the faucet. By mid-2025 he framed price action as deliberate: markets "artificially held down since November," with an eventual release once "the faucets run dry."
Proof-of-T. He kept the proof-of-X question genuinely open — floating "Proof of Taboshi," and later, after discovering the $TRUST/Intuition token, wondering whether it is "proof of T… trust? Rather than time or taboshi."
Coinbase/Base and the network state. He flagged that "Coinbase:Fees is a top 100 holder of TOBY," and by 2026 arrived at his most ambitious frame: Toby World as "the first rendition of a network state," citing Balaji Srinivasan and Ethereum's Infinite Garden — culminating in the idea that Base itself could decentralize with Toby as its network token.
Satoshi. He surfaced SATO early ("You can't have a $TOSHI without a $SATO!") and hunted for a "SATO AI" throughline.
Predictions and Timing
His calls are long-horizon and deliberately playful: "TOBY TRILLIONS" on inflation (Feb 2025), and "1111 is the price target for TOBY" (April 2025). He tied reveal timing to Ethereum's calendar — end of Epoch 03 around March 17, and reveals gated on the Pectra upgrade — and, most recently, made the network-state thesis explicitly conditional on "MetaDEX03 release & clarity act passage" (July 2026). Catalysts that slipped he met with patience rather than doubt.
Evolution
His work moved through three phases. Early 2025 was dense technical decoding (Verkle trees, statelessness, Beam Chain). Mid-2025 shifted toward on-chain market observation and an explicit expectation-free philosophy. From late 2025 into 2026 he broadened into network-state theory while becoming one of the community's steadiest morale-keepers.

Why He Matters
@tobyoshitaboshi is the community's lore cartographer — the member most likely to link a fresh Ethereum upgrade, a new token, or a Base development back to the shared mythology, and to hold the line with equanimity when reveals take longer than hoped. His curiosity keeps threads alive that others drop, and his steadiness ("still day one") gives Toad Gang a durable, generous sense of continuity.
