@CptBased — The Contract Reader Who Never Sold

Core thesis

@CptBased holds one of the longest continuous arcs in toad gang: present from the earliest Taboshi eligibility questions in June 2024 through the Lore Land Deed forge in August 2026, with a wallet that, in their words, "has only accumulated for years." Their central claim is that Tobyworld's staged reveals are a deliberate filter — each epoch, silence, and mispriced mint is a test designed to concentrate assets among conviction holders before mass onboarding. "Everything is by design. We just need to be patient, hodl with conviction and intention, study & spread lore" (2024-09-24).

Distinct theories

Proof of Time / Proof of Trust. They were early to the POT reading: "What do you think about POT being Proof of Time? By the time E3 closes, us OG holders will have been holding for a year" (2024-09-12), later refining it — "I think ultimately the POT is a proof of trust (why it's so important for us to hold through all 3 epochs)" (2024-09-16), with the validator process linked to Toby and the 777 series.

Roadmap mechanics. They track epoch math precisely (E3 ending ~3/18, each epoch 122 days) and read the contracts directly — during the deed forge they walked the room through the 5- and 7-day timers, noting the reveal function required the REVEAL_ROLE wallet, so "when tg does the reveal is still up to tg" (2026-08-17). They also flagged the forced 4,000 supply and unforged remainder.

Token utility. A consistent hierarchy: Taboshi = highest yield/multiplier on lore land, Taboshi1 still useful; patience as a Sablier stream (~1.7/day over ~2 years, 7-week cliff, forfeited if Tobyworld assets are abandoned); seeds as possibly "a claim on Taboshi," paired against cbBTC. They proposed Taboshi1's sub-1B cap was an anti-whale mechanism that "leveled the" field.

The flywheel and Satoshi/BTC peg. From September 2024 onward they floated Toby's value being pegged to Satoshi via cbBTC — "Satoby" — returning to it years later: "still think BTC / cbBTC" for the gold coins (2025-07-18), and "There's that 10,000 number again. BTC connection will be obvious to everyone soon" (2026-08-18).

Coinbase/Base. Their sharpest inversion: "TobyWorld isn't going to get masses because Coinbase / Base onboards millions and millions of people. TobyWorld is the onboarding for the masses" (2026-08-20) — a system built for "hundreds of millions of people who may never need to understand the complexities of it."

Predictions and timing

Their calls are directional more than numeric. April 2025: a macro read on CPI under 2.6% forcing a Fed cut, offered with an explicit caveat ("could also be wrong bc who knows with the current macro"). July 2025: significant volatility through September during the cliff. August 2026: LP fee math on 1,369 deeds at ~$274/day — "just over $100,000 annually" — with the volume assumption flagged as conservative. They expect seeds capped at 21,000,000, echoing BTC, and put a possible next reveal at "October/November" 2026 off the "leaves won't fall out of season" line.

Evolution

Early CptBased is a lore-and-onboarding voice — running Toby's Pixel Worlds NFTs, welcoming newcomers, shilling Zora posts to grow the room. Through the silent epoch they become the patience-keeper. By 2026 they read contracts, track burn totals ("$204k+ burned already. 275 forges, 2225 left"), and frame TG's design in strategic terms: "tg is a big fan of the Kansas City shuffle—makes you look one way, goes another." The conviction never changed; the toolkit sharpened considerably.

Why it matters

CptBased pairs unusually long tenure with genuine primary-source work — reading contracts, checking timers and supply, correcting scam claims — and then translates it into plain guidance for newer toads. They are also the room's steady hand on security, repeatedly reminding members not to connect wallets to anything TG hasn't explicitly announced. Few members combine that span of memory, that willingness to check the chain, and that generosity toward newcomers.
