@crypto_fan9 — The Mechanism Mapper

Core thesis

@crypto_fan9 approaches Tobyworld as a system to be reverse-engineered rather than a story to be chanted. Across two and a half years of messages, one conviction holds steady: every Tobyworld asset — $TOBY, Taboshi, $PATIENCE, the land deeds, and eventually $SATO — must carry real, interlocking utility, because the flywheel only spins if each piece independently holds value. As they put it on 2026-08-13: "all pieces of the puzzle need to hold value for the flywheel to continue spinning." Their method is consistently the same — read the primary source (TG's posts, the old rune pages, the contracts themselves), form a testable hypothesis, label it as speculation, and invite the room to falsify it.

The theories

Roadmap mechanics. Their earliest structural call came on 2025-07-28, long before anything shipped: S1 would require an LP pair (they guessed TBY–PATIENCE), Satoswap would route Base swaps and pay LP fees, and "Taboshi leaves are added to the mix as multipliers to the yield/spores." They offered the alternative framing the same day — stake $PATIENCE, earn interest, Taboshi as rate multiplier. The multiplier thesis is their single most durable idea; they returned to it repeatedly through 2026, asking whether the multiplier was Taboshi itself, the NFT, or the land deed, and arguing on 2026-08-13 that "In order for taboshi to be a yield multiplier, I feel its value has to be much higher. Otherwise it would be very easy to multiply your yield at a low cost."

Token utility. They built a layered model: $TOBY as the onboarding asset and eventual gas/burn token, $PATIENCE as the gating currency for land and activation, Taboshi as the yield amplifier, and $SATO as the terminal revenue layer. Their Satoswap prediction (2026-08-21) was explicit — a Tobyworld-internal DEX where TOBY is gas, each swap burns a little, and fees flow back as yield. By 2026-08-31 this crystallized into their clearest statement of value flow: "Toby to ultimately collect patience to ultimately earn sato… sato is our connection to the external world fees."

Proof-of-time. They think about time as an accounting variable, not just a virtue. In September 2026 they raised the sharpest open question in the channel: if a whale buys a genesis deed today, does the deed carry the original holder's 2.5 years, or does the clock reset in a fresh wallet? They also suspected the slow seeds were a deliberate echo of the wait — "maybe the seeds will take 'very long' to produce something which will be equivalent to our 2.4 years of waiting" (2026-08-18).

Coinbase/Base. Their most sustained investigative thread. They chased the Base Camp event photos — Patience-shaped inflatable triangle, Taboshi-leaf shade tents, a land map on screen — and parsed Base's own wording change closely (2025-10-08): the newer copy omits "NEW" network token, which they read as leaving room for an existing one. They also flagged timestamp ordering as evidence, noting on 2026-08-25 that sat0 posting before Base "strengthens my belief TG is somehow working with base." An alternative they floated with equal seriousness: Tobyworld built by Aerodrome alongside Coinbase devs.

Satoshi/BTC peg and sat0ai. They read spores as cbBTC yield, noted the sats-denominated pricing (~430,000 sats / ~$333), and offered a framing worth preserving (2026-08-23): "I think Tobyworld is a sandbox to prove that sat0ai works… Once they prove it, then they open it up to RWA."

Predictions and timing

Their calls are mostly mechanical rather than numeric, and they date-stamp them. Aug 7, 2025 as a drop date (from the number 7). A 600-PATIENCE AMM threshold as the launch trigger, with running counts through September 2026 and a cost estimate of roughly $21,264 to get there (2026-09-16). ~$1,000–1,200 as the true deed mint cost, and 300 PATIENCE as the activation floor. On market cap they were refreshingly open-ended (2026-08-22): "I would love it for it to reach 100B. Do we think it's really possible during this bull run? I'll be happy with 1B or 10B" — long-horizon conviction, offered as a question rather than a promise.

Evolution

They began in 2024–25 as a careful newcomer asking where the airdrop went and what one PATIENCE was worth. By mid-2025 they were forecasting S1 mechanics. By late 2026 they had shifted the center of gravity from $TOBY to $SATO as the ultimate yield, flagged TG's ~90–95% PATIENCE holding as a distribution question outsiders will ask, and started running their own on-chain monitors — publishing the pond AMM, harvester, and vault addresses they track so anyone could watch alongside them.

Consistently patient about missed catalysts ("The best is to assume there will be no update tomorrow:)"), consistently transparent about uncertainty, and consistently generous — helping newcomers find deeds, crediting other members' work, and posting raid strategy for the group.
