• 2024-04-17This is some of what I read from toad lore: The future plans for the project will favor small (but enthusiastic) patient investors at the cost of short term noise traders and the whales who arrive too late. Holding at least certain moderate amounts (i.e., significantly more than initial airdrop) of toby for a long time could be a favorable position. It might seem like there is so much toby supply now, but it'll turn scarce after mass adoption of Base. There's more in the lore too

Small guys can take a risk to try and obey the hints in the toad lore with small amounts of play money, and then benefit. But most whales would be too scared or even paralyzed to reallocate thousands of dollars based on "hints", unless they're committed to the project

The early tweets mentioned grandiose things like "bookmark this and revisit in a year" (paraphrasing), and there hasn't yet been the kind of big payoff like implied. I still think this project has potential though. Maybe it was just the crypto macro environment that partially affected past plans. Still waiting for the next big thing! ⚡️
• 2026-04-12Also, this is certainly nothing unique to this ecosystem. I have been following a lot of crypto projects, and many are months behind their roadmaps and initial plans. The whole crypto world is facing challenges, but hopefully we can get through it stronger in the end. ❤️‍🔥
• 2026-04-12Eh... I wouldn't use terms like "gaslighting" that imply deception or bad faith. I think it's more that things changed unexpectedly for everyone, and our trip to the moon may have been delayed, but I don't think it will be denied. I do accept that the wait is slowly wearing on people.
